Meet Darshana Lanke, our 2024 Breathe Strong Raffle Ambassador and dedicated Youth4Change Ambassador. Darshana is passionate about empowering herself and others to make informed decisions about health. In her words, “I joined Youth4Change in December 2018 because it aligned with my passion for health and addressing pressing issues firsthand. As a high school student, I witnessed the pervasive influence of peer pressure on vaping culture. Recognizing the lack of provincial regulations on vaping products, I felt compelled to take action and joined Youth4Change.”
Youth4Change is a youth advocacy and education initiative powered by Lung Saskatchewan. Y4C aims to inform young people about tobacco and vapour products while simultaneously empowering them to create positive, long-lasting change not only in their communities but also in the province of Saskatchewan.

In addition to Y4C's provincial advocacy efforts, Y4C groups have also made a splash within their communities. Some of these initiatives include creating informative and educational posters, designing awareness-focused T-shirts featuring a graphic of lungs created by youth, and producing an informative video on traditional tobacco with a community Elder.
